right order, right relationship

Sermon #1
Listen

These two ideas have been circling my consciousness lately.

Right order. Right relationship.

Almost like a mantra.

And with each cycle, they’ve been burning through fields of disorder.

What’s left is the truth.

Seeds planted a decade ago continue to bear fruit. And the weeds that grew beside them are finally getting their just due.

-

My journey for the past 16 years has revolved around one question:

What is the Kingdom? And what is its righteousness?

Because if I could find the answer to that, everything else should take care of itself.

The worries about provision would lose their power. Survival mode would become a thing of the past.

But it's not what I witnessed in the lives around me.

-

So I went out into the wilderness of self-reliance.

Where order and relationship was the thing I was running from, not running toward.

Where the only way out, was through.

And here's what I found.

-

Yesterday, I shared a message about the inner source - the place where we are most abundant.

Like a treasure hidden in an open field.

The idea is simple:

When you find that place, you immediately have the means to give, allocate, and steward something the world needs without worrying about whether there will be enough for you at the end.

-

The work now is to tend the field around that well.

To bring it back into right order and right relationship.

And to stay rooted by that source, like a tree planted by water.
